Presidents Message (April 1, 2025)
As we conclude another snowmobile season it would be safe to say that Mother Nature graced us with an abundance of snow. With this abundance comes more challenges that I am proud to say that the volunteers of our club totally conquered!
The trail signing group did an amazing job of making sure that our trails were signed up to and beyond SSA standards. It was nice to see that we had some first timers go out with the signing group this year.
The groomer operators did an excellent job of keeping our trails rideable in spite of having to unhook and hook up the drag many times over the course of the season. I know that that is a job unto itself sometimes.
We had a few challenges with our SnoCat this year but thanks to a core group of skilled individuals we were able to keep the machine running with minimal down time.
I would like to publicly mention and thank several individuals from our club for their exemplary dedication and the amount of hours spent this season...Chris Haylock, Kyle Douglas, Gerard Kristoff and Ken Johnson.
As with every successful organization there are many people who work behind the scenes to keep everything running. Curtis Abdai as Vice President, Brian Zeebeck as Treasurer, Reed Williams as Scribe and Jason Flatt as Online Administrator.
Every person who takes the time out of their lives to attend meetings, help with wood day, shack maintenance and other tasks involved with keeping this trail system operating deserve a huge thank you as well.
I am sure that I have failed to mention some individuals and if I have I apologize.
As I say every year I encourage you to come and support the ATV side of our club in their endeavors as well as try to think of ways we can increase our volunteer base.
Once again many thanks for your efforts this season.
Dean Oxford,
President
