It all begins with an idea. When CN ceased use of the railway service thru the Qu'Appelle towards Esterhazy, our snowmobile club purchased the majority of the land along the railbed, and has developed it into the world class snowmobile and offroad trail it is today. Thru the dedication and countless hours of our volunteers, they have groomed, maintained, repaired and improved our trail system over the years throughout the years (and several floods!).

One volunteer in particular was particularly dedicated to our trail system, both in the summer and winter. Randy was the club president for many years and one of the biggest proponents of our little slice of heaven. We lost Randy in 2020, and have renamed the trail in his honour.
